DMK to hold crucial meet today after poll debacle

The DMK has called for a high-level meeting on Monday to discuss the party`s poor performance in the recent Lok Sabha polls.

Chennai: The DMK has called for a high-level meeting on Monday to discuss the party`s poor performance in the recent Lok Sabha polls.

The party will be reportedly discussing its future course of action after it failed to win even a single seat in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.
The meeting will take place a day after party chief M Karunanidhi asked party workers to “introspect” and work towards party`s better performance in the future.
"Good or bad does not come from others," he said.

He also quoted party founder CN Annadurai and said, "no one can destroy you...except by yourself."

Senior party leaders including Kanimozhi, MK Stalin and K Anbazhagan will be a part of the high-level meeting which will deliberate on ways to strengthen the party, as per news reports.
