Riyadh: A Pakistani national was killed on Monday in an attack carried out by Yemen`s Houthis on the Saudi border town of Najran, media reported.
A Saudi girl and four others were injured in the attack, Xinhua news agency reported citing Al Arabiya News.
A Saudi civil defence spokesman said the incident took place Monday morning and the attackers targeted a school and a house in Najran.
Meanwhile, Al Arabiya aired a video clip showing the arrival of Saudi land troops to the border with Yemen, mainly Najran, to protect civilians from Houthis attacks.
A Saudi-led coalition carrying out airstrikes on the Houthis in Yemen is scheduled to start on Tuesday a five-day humanitarian truce that could be renewed.
Saudi Arabia, along with eight other Arab states, have been bombing the Houthi group and forces loyal to former president Ali Abdullah Saleh since March 26, aiming to reinstate the government of President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi, who was forced to flee the country.
The toll from the battles between Houthis and Hadi`s supporters, as well as the airstrikes, have exceeded 1,200, while more than 3,000 people were wounded across the country, according to statistics released by the Yemeni government.
