Islamabad: India and Pakistan may be better known for trading barbs and their border skirmishes back home, but miles away in a different nation, the two neighbours indulged in mutual benevolence in a rare show of bonhomie and exchanged thanks and goodwill.
In war-torn Yemen, India's 'Operation Rahat' successfully evacuated over four thousand Indians, along with hundreds of citizens from nearly 20 different nations that included those from Pakistan.
Pakistan, too did not miss out on the good gesture and PNS Aslat evacuated 11 Indians from Yemen's southeastern city of Mokallah, who landed in India on Wednesday night in a special aircraft of the Pakistani Air Force.
PM Narendra Modi thanked Pakistani PM Nawaz Sharif for “humanitarian gesture” and welcomed the 11 Indians evacuated from Yemen.
I welcome our 11 citizens who've returned from Yemen with assistance from Pakistan. Thank you PM Nawaz Sharif for your humanitarian gesture.

Reciprocating the act of gratitude, Pakistani PM's daughter Maryam Nawaz Sharif thanked PM Modi and also retweeted his tweets.
Thank u PM @narendramodi for your kind words. Glad that our Indian friends reached home safely. Humanity is what binds us together. BW, NS

Earlier, Modi hailed Indian forces for having evacuated not only Indians, but nationals from over a dozen of other nations.
The help India extended included help to our neighbours Bangladesh, Maldives, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan & Sri Lanka.
