New Delhi: The idea of getting your groceries delivered to your doorstep by a delivery bot could become a reality in the near future.
Perhaps, you could even see these self-driving delivery robots on the sidewalk or share your sidewalks with them.
Recently, Starship Technologies conducted tests of its autonomous delivery robots in the heart of Silicon Valley.

The company announced that its robots achieved 90% autonomous driving, successfully navigating the sidewalk, avoiding obstacles, passing pedestrians, checking for traffic.
During the testing, the self-driving robotic vehicle also made a successful delivery for a senior citizen living nearby.
Starship Technologies have built the world's first commercially available autonomous delivery robot.
With the aim to bring affordable, convenient and efficient on-demand delivery to consumers and businesses, the company has been conducting tests of its self-driving robots in 40 cities and 12 countries.
