According to Tech Crunch, the makers of "world`s first" SolarCooler are trying to raise 150,000 dollars on Indiegogo to make their refrigerator model, which is currently being sold for 1000 dollars, a reality.
It is also worth noting that apart from being a cooler, the solar-powered 12V battery backup offers true, continuous refrigeration and can also be used for medical purposes to transport goods that need to be kept cool.
