App to transcribe whatever you tell your phone

No need to type long messages or interviews as a new transcription app can turn what you say into text with no limit on recording time.

New York: No need to type long messages or interviews as a new transcription app can turn what you say into text with no limit on recording time.

The new app, called Dragon, is available for both iOS and Android and lets you navigate around a document and insert or correct words using your voice, TechCrunch reported.

You can also teach it words, and sync that terminology with the desktop versions of Nuance Dragon that also just received an update.

Although many people might already be using Apple's Siri or Google native transcription, but these systems typically only handle short snippets of audio.

With Dragon, you could record a whole interview, meeting, or speech, and it will quickly appear as text.

However, the service - that would save you considerable labour of typing the text - will cost $15 per month to begin with.
