Washington: Yahoo has designed a new concept wherein, to recognize the user, the phone will gauge the shape of the their ear instead of a finger with the built-in touchscreen.
According to TechCrunch, researchers Christian Holz, Senaka Buthpitiya, and Marius Knaust, Bodyprint have built the concept which is designed to utilize a number of different body parts as biometric markers in different use cases.
The new technology will recognize the ear and also identify you from a glance at your palm, the knuckles of a fist bump, or your grip around the edge of the screen when tightly grasping the device.
However, the authors of the paper are claiming that it let only the right person in 99.52 percent of the time.
