London: A team of scientists are planning a lunar journey within 10 years with the help of public donations, which will carry common people's pictures, notes and even DNA.

A British-led team has been working on raising 500 million pounds from public donations and mentioned that people who will contribute will be rewarded with a lunar time capsule that will end up buried on the moon, the Daily Star reported.

To get the project off the ground, the team is hoping to raise 600,000 pounds from its Kickstarter campaign. Prices to send a part of you start at 3 pounds, with videos and DNA costing around 200 pounds.

Professor Brian Cox said that 'Lunar Mission One' wouldn't be just about going to the moon and drilling a hole in it but it would be about generating inspiration and education and it would generate huge economic benefits here on earth.
