A train makes it's way along the coastal route near Whitehaven, north west England, as the remnants of Hurricane Gonzalo blew into Britain, causing rush-hour travel misery for road, rail and air travellers. Some areas were subjected to gusts of wind up to 65 mph, (105 kph) but forecasters predicted that the worst of the weather will be over after by Wednesday.
