YouTube Rewind: Top video lists of 2013

As 2013 comes to a close, video-sharing website YouTube has compiled the top trending videos’ playlists for the year.

New Delhi: As 2013 comes to a close, video-sharing website YouTube has compiled the top trending videos’ playlists for the year.

The compilations include the most watched videos in the global community as well as in individual countries.

In addition to this, the Google-owned site has also released a video ‘YouTube Rewind: What Does 2013 Say?’ featuring well known faces on YouTube in a “mash-up of popular moments this year.”

Norwegian comedy duo Ylvis’ ‘The Fox (What Does the Fox Say?)’ and South Korean rap music sensation PSY’s ‘Gentleman’ topped the trending videos (global) and top music videos (global) lists respectively.

"While each annual list is unpredictable, trending videos just get bigger each year," YouTube head of culture and trends Kevin Allocca wrote in a blog post."And with 80 percent of all views on YouTube coming from outside the US, the global community is driving pop culture unlike ever before"

The top trending videos for 2013 include:

1. Ylvis - "The Fox (What Does the Fox Say?)" by tvnorge

2. "Harlem Shake (original army edition)" by kennethaakonsen

3. "How Animals Eat Their Food" | MisterEpicMann by MisterEpicMann

4. "Miley Cyrus - Wrecking Ball (Chatroulette Version)" by SteveKardynal

5. "baby&me / the new evian film" by EvianBabies

6. Volvo Trucks - "The Epic Split feat. Van Damme" by VolvoTrucks

7. "YOLO (feat. Adam Levine & Kendrick Lamar)" by thelonelyisland

8. "Telekinetic Coffee Shop Surprise" by CarrieNYC

9. "THE NFL: A Bad Lip Reading" by BadLipReading
