Pinterest unveils new website design, discoverability features

Content-sharing site Pinterest has announced some slight changes to the design of the website and discoverability features.

London: Content-sharing site Pinterest that lets users to `pin` videos, articles, pictures, graphics and other objects to their own boards, has announced some slight changes to the design of the website and discoverability features.

The redesign, which the site started testing with users in January, however, is not a drastic change.

The site still has the big photos laid out in a grid, but along the top of the homescreen is a new navigation bar.

A new button in the top left, next to the search bar, gives users a list of categories, including Animals, Art, and Design.

According to the report, there are also some changes to the pin pages.

When you look at a pin, you will now see other pins from that board (no need to click back), other pins from that source, and similar things to the pin.

The idea is that a user will stay on the site longer and continue to pin and repin items.

The new design and discoverability features will start rolling out to all Pinterest users today, the report said.
