New Delhi: Social media is giving an all new colour to patriotism this Independence Day, with messages doing the rounds that say “make the Tricolour Flag your display picture this Independence week”. And surprisingly, people are following the suit with an unexpected zeal.
WhatsApp users must be more aware of this trend as 60-70 percent of their contacts now share the same image!

Some have however raised questions about the legality of having tricolour as display picture and here comes the good news - the Flag code of India, 2002 permits the display of Indian tricolour until and unless its dignity and honour is compromised.
The fervour of Independence Day could be seen in all age-groups. Such creative concepts intensify the feeling of oneness among all. So this 15th August, colour your social media accounts with the colour of Independence. Let the Indian tricolour fly!
