New Delhi: Internet search giant Google on Saturday celebrated 'Children’s Day' in a special way with an interesting doodle on its homepage created under its Doodle 4 Google 2015 contest.

The day also marks the birth anniversary of the India's first prime minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, who was born on November 14, 1889, in Allahabad.
Google had earlier invited school students across the country to participate in its Doodle 4 Google - India contest, where the winning doodle would be featured on its India homepage on Children's Day. The contestants were divided into three groups – Group 1, Group 2 and Group 3 respectively.
This year, the theme for the Google 4 Doodle was ‘Create Something for India’.
Out of the 12 finalists, P Karthik from Andhra Pradesh was declared the winner and his doodle has been displayed on the Google India homepage today.
Karthik's doodle, titled 'Plastic to Earth - Machine', came with a caption: “This mega machine to recycle all the waste plastic from our country and make it into a material which helps the growth of mother nature. This machine will turn the most powerful evil plastic into green.”
In the Group 2 category, P Ramya of Prakash Vidyaniketan, Andhra Pradesh was declared the winner. Ramya's 'Green City Dream City' doodle was captioned: “I would want to create a green city which will only use green resources of energy. It will provide equal opportunity for everyone whether poor or rich.”
Ashita Sharma of Mother Mary's School, New Delhi, topped the Group 3 category for 'Robots - to transform India', which read as: “My 3 robots will make India a better place. Blue robot will catch hold of one who litters and the one who is corrupt. The pink robot will collect taxes while the green robot will aim for a clean and green India.”
