London: The man credited with inventing the world wide web, Sir Tim Berners-Lee, has called for schoolchildren to be exposed to coding in a bid to encourage them to `join a group of people who can do incredible things`.
Berners-Lee spoke of how Aaron Swartz, a co-founder of Reddit who committed suicide aged 26 earlier this month, had used his programming skills to change the world.
According to a newspaper, his remarks came during an interview at the World Economic Forum.
Berners-Lee went on to call better computer education in school to encourage children to develop programming skills, the paper said.
He pointed out that when `people are told how to programme a computer, they taking a leap into an area, joining a group of people who do incredible things`.
