New Delhi: As suspense continues whether Rahul Gandhi will be named as Congress` Prime Ministerial candidate for 2014 General elections, party leader Jyotiraditya Scindia on Thursday said he wishes Gandhi scion becomes the PM.

Scindia, who is said to be close to Rahul today said that country`s future is in Rahul`s hand and his personal wish is to see the Congress vice president as the next prime minister.
Scindia`s reaction comes after, Rahul on Tuesday said that he is ready to take any responsibility if given and will do whatever the party wants him to do.

Speaking to a leading news daily, the Gandhi scion said, “I`m ready to take any responsibility if given.”
The All India Congress Committee (AICC) will be meeting tomorrow and decision to declare Rahul as its prime ministerial candidate may be taken.

Some sources have claimed that despite all hype and speculation, Rahul Gandhi may not be named the party`s prime ministerial candidate on January 17.

A section of the Congress party is reportedly against projecting Rahul as PM candidate immediately and does not want him to be exposed to the tirade of Narendra Modi, the main opposition BJP`s PM candidate.

If sources are to be believed. then instead of being named as the PM candidate, Rahul could be elevated as the Congress working president at the AICC session.
