Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Thursday took strong exception to Pakistan Army Chief`s comments on Kashmir and cautioned General Raheel Sharif not to interfere in India`s internal matters.
Reacting strongly to the Pakistan Army Chief``s comments that Kashmir was Islamabad`s “jugular vein”, the BJP leader today tweeted: “We are closer to Kashmir than your jugular vein, Mr. Sharif. Interfere in our internal matters & have jugular vein compression syndrome.”
Addressing a ceremony at the Army headquarters in Rawalpindi on Wednesday, Gen Sharif said Kashmir was an internationally recognised dispute. "Matchless sacrifices offered by Kashmiris will not go in vain," he said.
Further, hitting out at Pakistan over the terrorism issue, Shivraj said, “To end terror is our national duty.”
The Madhya Pradesh CM justified his Gujarat counterpart`s comments on tackling terrorism. He tweeted:
To end terror is our national duty. Modi ji just referred to the obligation of the Indian mandate and they started squirming in Pakistan.

The truth will out. Modi ji never said Dawood is in Pakistan but the guilty mind could not stop spilling the beans itself.

Shivraj`s statements comes after Sharif said Pakistan Army supports every effort for elimination of terrorism and restoration of peace in the country.
He said armed forces of Pakistan are capable enough to foil the nefarious designs of the enemy and remain alert round the clock for defence of the motherland.
