Coimbatore: With alliance struck with MDMK and Indhiya Jananayaka Katchi, talks with other parties, including DMDK and PMK are under progress, BJP National Executive member L Ganesan said on Monday.
Though party senior leaders had met Vijayakanth on the new year, they were told that he will announce his decision after its executive meeting and BJP was still waiting for a concrete response from the actor-turned politician, Ganesan told reporters here.
Moreover, the party was also in dialogue with E R Eswaran, heading the splinter group of Kongunadu Makkal Kazhagam, Ganesan said.
A clear picture on the alliance in Tamil Nadu would emerge by February eight, when all the alliance party leaders share the dais with BJP prime ministerial candidate, Narendra Modi is scheduled to address a massive rally in Chennai and BJP-led NDA would be a challenge to both the AIADMK and DMK fronts, as Modi is becoming most popular candidate for prime minister, he said.
