New Delhi: Delhi police are now likely to record the statement of veteran journalist Nalini Singh after she said that a distraught Sunanda Pushkar, wife of Union Minister Shashi Tharoor, had called her on the intervening night of Jan 15-16.

While speaking to Zeenews, Nalini said that a sobbing Sunanda was depressed about the alleged extra-marital relationship of her husband with Pakistani journalist Mehr Tarar.
Sunanda also told her about emails and BBM messages exchanged between the two.

It was reportedly the last call made by Sunanda before her death.
52-year-old Sunanda`s death under mysterious circumstances took place a day after tweets suggesting Tharoor`s extra-marital with a Pakistani journalist went on Twitter.

Soon after, Tharoor and Pushkar declared that they were “happily married”.

Sunanada`s autopsy was performed in the AIIMS and the doctors said that she had died a “sudden and unnatural” death.
