New Delhi: Additional Solicitor General Indira Jaising said on Monday that there was very little difference between Justice AK Ganguly and Tarun Tejpal case, pertaining to sexual harassment.

In an interview to a news channel, Jaising said that the time had come to make laws in a way so that judges are made accountable and maintained that Law Minister Kapil Sibal should make a statement in the case.

Drawing a parallel, she said that she saw little difference in Tarun Tejpal and the Justice Ganguly case. However, she added that law would take its own course.

Telehka editor Tejpal was arrested by the Goa Police for allegedly sexually harassing an employee. He is in judicial custody at the moment.

Jaising also reiterated her demand for resignation of Justice Ganguly as WBHRC chairman.

AK Ganguly is accused of sexually harassing a law intern. The girl, who has passed out from a Kolkata law school, had in a sworn affidavit before a three-judge panel of apex court judges gave a detailed account of what happened to her in a Delhi hotel room on 24 December, 2012 when she was called by the judge at night.

The committee had indicted the former judge for `unwelcome behaviour` and `conduct of sexual nature` towards the girl who was then working as a law intern with him. Ganguly has so far denied all the allegations against him and ruled out resigning as the head of the WBHRC.
