Salman`s father, Salim Khan, launches Narendra Modi`s website in Urdu

Superstar Salman Khan`s father and veteran scriptwriter Salim Khan on Wednesday launched the Urdu version of BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi`s official website www.narendramodi.in/.

Mumbai: Superstar Salman Khan`s father and veteran scriptwriter Salim Khan on Wednesday launched the Urdu version of BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi`s official website www.narendramodi.in/.

Khan launched the website today morning from his residence in suburban Mumbai.

Salim Khan`s family is known to be supportive of Narendra Modi and have defended the Gujarat Chief Minister on the issue of Gujarat riots.
Khan had earlier said that Muslims are safe under Modi while pointing out that no riots have taken place in Gujarat in the last 12 years.

Referring to the 1992 riots in Mumbai, he, in an interview to a news channel, pointed out that no one blamed the then CM for the deaths and said that no one even remembers the name of the CM under whose watch the riots occurred.

Salim Khan had even written an introductory note in a book titled Modi, Muslims and Media, endorsing Modi and blaming the media for his "anti-Muslim" image.
His son, Salman, had also gone on record to assert that there is no need for Narendra Modi to personally apologise for the 2002 Gujarat riots.

Salman had met Narendra Modi in Ahmedabad in January during his countrywide tour to promote his move `Jai Ho`. The meeting had create quite a flutter after pictures of Salman flying kite with Modi had appeared in the public domain.
