New Delhi: Despite his hectic schedule, Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi last week managed to skip political din and media glare to spend some quality time with his close friends in Karnataka’s Kodagu.
A report published in a leading daily claimed on Thursday that the prince of the Congress was with his 31 close friends from Kerala and New Delhi from February 16 to 20.

The Congress general secretary reportedly flew into Calicut last Wednesday, and then drove to the Now and Neverland resort around midnight at the nearby Chelavara.
In the company of his close buddies, Rahul spent the four days rock climbing and working out at the gym. He finally returned to Calicut on February 20.

The young Congress leader also injured his legs while participating in adventure sports in Kodagu. He was later given medical treatment at a private hospital in Ammathi.

Rahul’s outfit and makeup was so well-disguised that he succeeded in making the doctors believe that he was a foreign tourist. Gautham, manager of Now and Neverland, was quoted as saying, “Rahul seemed to enjoy himself during his stay.”
