New Delhi: Defending Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi, party spokesperson Abhishek Manu Singhvi said the Gandhi scion has "walked the talk".
"Rahul Gandhi has walked the talk... in Youth Congress, in NSUI (party`s student wing), he had brought nothing short of a revolution," Singhvi said, countering the BJP`s attacks on Rahul Gandhi following his TV interview.

"It has not been done in any political party since Independence. He has brought democracy at the grassroots level in the party. There is transparency, openness, and empowerment," he said.

On the 1984 anti-Sikh riots, Singhvi said reconciliation with Sikhs has happened over the years.

"Congress has held 1984 was a terrible thing... Apart from apology, reconciliation has happened over the years with the Sikh community," he said.
He also said that the 1984 riots were "spontaneous" while 2002 post-Godhra riots were provoked.

On Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi getting a clean chit from the Supreme Court-appointed Special Investigation Team, he said: "We are not saying Modi is criminally convicted, but what did Vajpayee mean when he said he did not follow `Rajdharma`?"
