Protests held against gurudwara fire in Australia

Activists of Yuva Morcha and Akali Dal today held a demonstration outside Australian High Commission to condemn the incident of setting fire of an under-construction building on the premises of a Gurdwara in Melbourne.

New Delhi: Activists of Yuva Morcha and Akali Dal today held a demonstration outside Australian High Commission to condemn the incident of setting fire of an under-construction building on the premises of a Gurdwara in Melbourne.

Activists carrying placards `Stop racial abuse`, `Down with Aussie Violence` protested against attacks on Indian community in Australia and submitted a memorandum to the High Commission.
Some unidentified persons had set fire at a construction site, which is located at about 300 meters from the Nanaksar Taath Gurdwara in Melbourne.

No one was injured and no structural damage was caused to the building.
