Guwahati: President Pratibha Patil arrived here on Friday on a two-day visit to Assam.
Governor Janaki Ballav Patnaik, Chief Minister Tarun
Gogoi, his cabinet colleagues and senior army, police and
government officials received Patil at the Lokapriya Gopinath
Bordoloi airport.
Patil would attend a cultural programme here in the
evening.
The President would launch programmes for access to
justice and socio-economic development of the state tomorrow
and leave for New Delhi in the evening.
