Mumbai: Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray has
warned all private FM channels to start broadcasting Marathi
songs within seven days or else `face the music`.
"It has been noticed that many FM channels do not play
Marathi songs. They should start airing them in a week or else
Sena would launch an agitation," Thackeray said in a statement
here today.
"Now a days anyone gets up and betrays Mahrashtra... radio
stations are added to this list now," Thackeray said.
Any radio station not complying with his directive would
face `Sena-style` agitation, the Sena chief said.
Reacting to Thackeray`s statement, noted musician Koustub
Inamdar said, "It is good if FM channels wake up after Sena
chief`s remarks. What is really needed is Marathi audience
listeners wake up."
