Rohtak: The supporters of Aam Aadmi Party`s (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal thrashed an unidentified person in Charkhi Dadri area here who tried to attack the ex-Delhi chief minister during a road show, a report said on Friday.

The man who allegedly attacked the AAP chief was wearing a blue shirt, who was soon caught by the party workers and thrashed, as per the visuals aired by a news channel.

Soon after the AAP chief urged his followers not to resort to violence as that was not what AAP stands for.

"Remember what Gandhiji had said. We need to follow the philosophy as said by him, even if you get one slap on one side of your cheek, then offer the other one," Kejriwal said.

He asked agitated supporters and volunteers of AAP not to resort to violence in any manner.

"If anyone from us involve in brawl or fighting with anyone then our movement will see its end right away," Kejriwal added.

Later on AAP chief also wrote on twitter, "We shud never never react violently. If u r a part of this movement - kasam khao kabhi haath nahi uthaoge, chahe kitna bada hamla kyon na ho."

He added, "Someone hit me hard on my neck just now. This kind of violent reaction is expected of them. It only shows their true character n desperation."

Kejriwal once again reiterated to his supporters through his tweet that they should never use violence as a means to seek justice.

"If we ever become violent, the movement wud be finished. So, pl pl pl, in future, if anyone hits us including me, we shud be nice to him," Kejriwal said in his tweet.

Further showing his displeasure on the act of his party workers, Kejriwal tweeted, "I am deeply hurt by the reaction of our supporters. If we also react violently, then what is the difference betn them n us?"

Kejriwal today kick-started a three-day roadshow from Dhansa Border here ahead of the crucial Lok Sabha elections to be held from next month.
The incident occured hours after the AAP chief today slammed both Bharatiya Janata Party`s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi and Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, while alleging that they were snatching land from farmers and giving it to industrialists.

“Haryana CM is snatching farmers` land and giving it to Robert Vadra and Mukesh Ambani. Everybody (politicians) used to fear raising voice against them, but it was I who raised voice against the fraud committed by Vadra and CM," Kejriwal had said.

He added, "I went to Varanasi and found that there is no Modi wave. Modi is afraid of me. That`s why he was fighting from two seats.”
Kejriwal also alleged that Vadra and Hooda were "looting" the people of Haryana.

However, the Haryana government and Chief Minister Hooda have denied these allegations.

"Many persons advised me not to raise voice against Vadra`s fraud as he belongs to a prominent family, but I brought corruption, committed by him and Hooda, to light without caring for of my life," he said today while addressing a gathering in Badli village after entering Haryana.

Possible, the motive behind the attack was to express anger for Kejriwal as he slammed Modi and Hooda today.

Later the attacker was taken away by the police present at the spot.

Haryana Police had made elaborate security arrangements for the AAP road show but the attacker was able to reach near Kejriwal after mingling with the crowd, an IANS report said.

The AAP has fielded candidates in all 10 Lok Sabha constituencies in Haryana, which go to the polls April 10.

The party has focused a lot on Haryana for the General Elections after its good showing in December`s Assembly polls in Delhi.
