New Delhi: Lavishing praise on the former Gujarat Chief Minister, BJP patriarch LK Advani said on Sunday that Narendra Modi had hit a triple century in his first Test match itself. At the same time he also asked party MPs to carry forward the success that Modi had achieved in the 2014 Lok Sabha polls.

Union Minister Prakash Javadekar said that speaking at BJP MP`s orientation program Advani had also told the Parliamentarians to not be arrogant and work as servants of the public.

“Advani ji spoke about carrying forward the success that Modi ji had got by hitting triple century in his first win,” Javadekar said, as per ANI.

"As far as our party is concerned there is already a
perceptible change in the way minority communities have been looking at the Modi government," Advani said.

Advani advised new MPs to consolidate the trend wherein minorities have started voting for the BJP, and asked them to make the categories of majority and minority completely irrelevant, PTI reported.

"We should make the categories of majority and minority completely irrelevant, while fully safeguarding people`s rights and freedoms to follow their respective religion," he told his junior colleagues.

He even told BJP s first time MPs not to talk about the Congress or UPA Government s failures, saying people are convinced about it. "All of us should talk about our government`s vision, its policies, plans, decisions," he said.

Meanwhile, the impact and reach of social media was discussed on the second day of the orientation programme for BJP MPs.
The issue of social media and also those related to media was addressed by BJP leaders and Union Ministers Piyush Goyal and Prakash Javadekar. The MPs were taught how to use these platforms to spread their message.

On the other hand, Ram Naik told the MPs on ways to strengthen their bond with their constituencies.

Suresh Soni, who is the RSS points person with BJP, spoke to the MPs about the nation`s expectations from them and the ideology guiding the party, PTI reported.

Whereas Advani delivered the valedictory address at the BJP workshop today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the party MPs yesterday. Among other things he had asked the MPs be careful about their conduct in Parliament, as well as in public.
He also asked them to take care of their constituencies and take the message of good governance to the people.

In the recently concluded General Elections, the BJP won 282 seats on their own and 335 along with their allies. The results were announced on May 16 and Modi, who was BJP`s PM candidate, was sworn-in to the highest post in the country on May 26.
