Key Chhattisgarh Maoist leader surrenders

In a major break through for Andhra Pradesh police, a key Naxal leader and spokesperson of the Maoist party in Chhattisgarh`s Dandakaranya on Wednesday surrendered along with his wife.

Hyderabad: In a major break through for Andhra Pradesh police, a key Naxal leader and spokesperson of the Maoist party in Chhattisgarh`s Dandakaranya on Wednesday surrendered along with his wife.
Gudsa Usendi alias GVK Prasad, a high ranking member and spokesperson of the Dandakaranya Special Zonal Committee (DKSZC) of the banned Communist Party of India (Maoist), carrying a cash reward of Rs 20 lakh on his head, today surrendered, a senior police official said.
Usendi was involved in Naxal activities for the past 25 years, sources said.
