Haryana, UP to construct Rs 120 crore bridge on Yamuna

Haryana and Uttar Pradesh will sign an MoU for the construction of an over Rs 120 crore bridge on River Yamuna to connect the cities of Panipat and Baghpat.

New Delhi: Haryana and Uttar Pradesh will sign an MoU for the construction of an over Rs 120 crore bridge on River Yamuna to connect the cities of Panipat and Baghpat.

"Haryana will sign an MoU with UP regarding construction of bridge on River Yamuna to connect Bilaspur-Khojkipur Road in Panipat with Tanda-Kurdi-Nangal-Sai Mandir Chaprauli-Barot road located in Uttar Pradesh day-after-tomorrow," a Haryana government release said.

Principal Secretary, Haryana Public Works Department Sanjeev Kaushal would sign the MoU on behalf of Haryana Government whereas Secretary, Uttar Pradesh Public Works Department would sign the MoU on behalf of UP Government in the presence of Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda.

This proposed bridge would be constructed near village Hathwala of Panipat, Haryana and village Chaprauli of Uttar Pradesh.

This bridge would be about 1,121m long and would connect the villages of district Baghpat of Uttar Pradesh with the villages of district Panipat of Haryana, the release said.
