New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party`s senior leader Sushma Swaraj on Sunday lashed out at Congress for not naming its prime ministerial candidate ahead of Lok Sabha elections.

Swaraj, while addressing the BJP National Council meet, said that the Congress was not just defeated, but was completely destroyed in the Assembly elections held in four states. She further added that political atmosphere is apt for the BJP and that the party workers are highly motivated with the recent victory.

While taking a jibe at the Congress president Sonia Gandhi`s statement that it is not in party`s tradition to name PM candidate before elections, Swaraj said that party workers and leaders are only not aware of the tradition.

The leader of Opposition also said that the BJP is all set to win more than 272 seats in 2014 LS polls.

Moreover, she said that it was due to pressure built by the BJP that Congress passed Lokpal Bill. She launched a verbal attack on Rahul Gandhi on the latter`s comment that Opposition doesn`t let Parliament run. She said that how many times has Rahul Gandhi attended Lok Sabha sessions and that he shouldn`t spread rumours.

Sushma also said that the BJP cooperated with the Congress till 10pm and passed the Food Security Bill.
