Mumbai: Continuing arguments in the appeal
against Faheem Ansari and Sabauddin Ahmed, acquitted in the
November 26 terror attacks, the prosecution on Thursday submitted
documents pertaining to the arrest of the duo.
Government counsel Ujjwal Nikam told the Bombay High
Court that all requisite procedures had been followed before
arresting Faheem and Sabauddin and transferring them from a
jail in Uttar Pradesh, where they were lodged in connection
with another case.

The documents include the statement of Faheem`s childhood
friend Nuruddin Shaikh, who had allegedly seen Faheem giving
maps to Sabauddin in Nepal for passing them to Lashkar-e-Taiba
operatives in Pakistan.

It is the prosecution`s case that Faheem had prepared
maps of several sensitive locations of Mumbai and handed them
over to Sabauddin who in turn gave it to LeT.
Apart from Nurrudin`s statement, the documents also
include the transfer warrant of the duo. The prosecution will
continue their arguments on January 5.

Lone captured 26/11 gunman Ajmal Kasab has already been
sentenced to death by a court in the Mumbai attacks case.
