New Delhi: Forty-one officers belonging
All India and other allied services have been booked this year
by the CBI compared to 19 three years ago.
A total of 41 officers have been booked by the agency
this year till October 31, which included 13 officers of the
All India services and 28 of the Allied Services.
The data given by DoPT Minister V Narayanasamy in
a written reply to Rajya Sabha shows that in 2007, CBI booked
just 19 officers and the number dropped to 16 in 2008. The
figure almost doubled to 31 in 2009.
The Minister said the CBI has filed charge sheet
against 31 officers in 25 cases since 2007.
