2G: Scribe slapped with Rs 10K fine for frivolous petition

A Delhi court on Tuesday slapped a fine of Rs 10,000 on a journalist for seeking a direction for CBI to make some telecom companies like Videocon-owned Datacom, S-tel, Aircel and Maxis as accused in 2G spectrum scam case.

fine of Rs 10,000 on a journalist for seeking a direction for
CBI to make some telecom companies like Videocon-owned
Datacom, S-tel, Aircel and Maxis as accused in 2G spectrum
scam case.
Special CBI judge O P Saini warned a warrant will be
issued against Mumbai-based journalist Bharat Bhushan Naudial
on his failure to deposit the fine within three days.
In his plea, the scribe had alleged some of the telecom
companies were inelgibile for the 2G licence and rules were
also flouted to favour them.
