Mumbai: As security agencies continue to crackdown on the Islamic State terror module across the country, Maharashtra Anti-Terrorist Squad on Thursday arrested a 31-year-old man, who was said to be in touch with ISIS members.

The arrested person, a resident of Parbhani district in Maharashtra, was in touch with another wanted accused Farooque, who is believed to be based in Syria.

He was trying to influence the youth through social media using different handles and profile Ids to join the dreaded terror outfit.

The arrest comes just a few days after National Investigation Agency (NIA) arrested two more persons in Hyderabad, taking to seven the number of persons arrested in connection with suspected Islamic State terror module busted in the city last month.

The NIA on June 29 busted an IS module by detaining 11 young men during searches at 10 places in the old city of Hyderabad.

Five of them -- Mohammed Iliyas Yazdani, 24, his brother Mohammed Ibrahim Yazdani, 29, Habib Mohammed, 32, Mohammed Irfan alias Yaqais, 26, and Abdullah Bin Ahmed Al Amoodi alias Fahad, 30-- were arrested.
