Kozhikode: BJP in Kerala on saturday termed as a
political drama the CPI-M reversing its stand of not fielding
Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan for April 13 assembly polls.
CPI(M) had betrayed the people by saying that Achuthanandan
was not in the electoral fray due to ill health and then later
reversing its decision in couple of days and announcing that
he would lead the LDF, BJP National Executive member
Sreedharan Pillai told reporters here.
"CPI(M) will have to clarify as people want to know the
facts," he said.
He said the party`s candidates have already started
electioneering and hoped the BJP would do well in the polls.
The party was fighting the elections with Kerala`s
development as the main agenda, he said.
Top national leaders of BJP are expected to come to the
state for electioneering, he said.
Asked whether the party will open its account in the
assembly, Pillai said `we will spring a surprise`.
Hopes for emergence of a third front at national level
will vanish after the assembly results of Kerala and West
Bengal come out, he claimed, adding, there will be only two
fronts-BJP-led NDA and Congress-led UPA.
