Temperatures dip in Jammu and Kashmir, dry spell to continue

Temperatures across Jammu and Kashmir dipped on Thursday due to the clear night sky as the weather office forecast a dry spell till Saturday.

Srinagar: Temperatures across Jammu and Kashmir dipped on Thursday due to the clear night sky as the weather office forecast a dry spell till Saturday.

An official of the MET department told IANS: "Minimum temperatures throughout the state dropped due to the clear night sky."

Minimum night temperature in Srinagar was 0.3 degrees Celsius, while it was minus 0.3 in Pahalgam and minus 2.4 in Gulmarg.

Leh recorded a minus 2.1, while Kargil a minus 2.5.

Jammu city was 11.6, Katra 11.8, Bannihal 5.8, Batote 7.9 and Bhaderwah 4.4 degrees Celsius.
