New Delhi: BJP Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi on Monday expressed his sympathies for the displaced Kashmiri Pandits saying no one can ignore their sufferings.

"No one can ignore sufferings of the Kashmiri Pandits for so many years. We remain committed to working towards justice for the community," Modi tweeted.

Gujarat CM had drawn criticism for failing to mention those displaced from the Valley in his Sunday’s speech Jammu.

Groups of Kashmiri Pandit who deserted J&K due to rising terrorism vented their anger over the cyberspace with one of them tweeting, "He (Modi) has let us down."

People from various walks of life tweeted that Modi should have made a mention of Kashmiri Pandits during his 30-minute speech in Jammu while some opined that his rally should be an eye-opener for Pandits who think highly of him.
