Jammu and Kashmir floods: DCs to upload relief-related info on official websites

Jammu and Kashmir Governor NN Vohra has asked the deputy commissioners of all districts of the Kashmir Division, which were flood-hit to upload relief- related information on their official websites by January 24.

Jammu: Jammu and Kashmir Governor NN Vohra has asked the deputy commissioners of all districts of the Kashmir Division, which were flood-hit to upload relief- related information on their official websites by January 24.

"Following the directions issued by Governor NN Vohra, during a high-level meeting held last week in Srinagar, all the Deputy Commissioners of the Kashmir Division have been directed to upload the flood relief-related information on their official websites by January 24," an official spokesman of the Raj Bhawan said.

The districts of Kulgam, Budgam, Bandipora, Baramulla have already complied the information with the given directions, he said.

"This was informed to the governor in the action taken report submitted to him by the divisional commissioner, Kashmir, today. It was also informed that the process of granting the building permissions has been streamlined and, till date, the Srinagar Municipal Corporation and Lakes and Waterways Development Authority have disposed off 64 per cent and 60 per cent of all such eligible cases respectively," he said.

A time-frame of 10 days for disposal has been fixed for strict compliance by the concerned agencies.
