Srinagar: After frequent ceasefire violations by Pakistan at the LoC, Border Security Force IG, Rakesh Sharma, said that India will not allow unprovoked firing from across the border.
Sharma said if there is any ceasefire violations from the Pakistani soldiers, the Indian Army will retaliate every single time and with much heavier firing.
Addressing media persons, the BSF IG said that in the period of ceasefire violations the army has lost one BSF constable on July 16 and a total of two jawans have been injured in the heavy firing.

Pakistan continued to use long range weapons to target the Border Security Force (BSF) posts and villages in RS Pura and Arnia areas near the international border in Jammu district on Sunday even after it called for a meeting with India`s Director General of Military Operations (DGMOs) over ongoing border tension.
Terming frequent violations of the ceasefire as a "matter of serious concern", Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Sunday expressed hope that the Centre would reconsider its decision of cancelling talks with Pakistan in order to end the border hostilities.
"I hope that there is some rethink on this (calling off of talks with Pakistan)," Omar told reporters after addressing a public meeting in the outskirts of the city.
