CMP of PDP-BJP govt 'fraud': JKNPP

The Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) on Thursday said the common minimum programme (CMP) of the PDP-BJP coalition government was a "fraud" on the people of the state.

Jammu: The Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) on Thursday said the common minimum programme (CMP) of the PDP-BJP coalition government was a "fraud" on the people of the state.

"The so-called common minimum programme is a fraud on the people of Jammu and Kashmir and a mockery of the people of Jammu Pradesh," JKNPP chairman Bhim Singh told reporters here.

He said there was no scope in the CMP for providing relief and rehabilitation to the Jammu migrants residing in Talwara. "The new government has completely ignored the migrants of Jammu region who were forced to leave their houses by militants," he said.

He said the CMP makes no mention of providing political representation to the schedule tribe.

"There is no mention of promise of free residential plots for the families residing within the firing range on the Indo-Pak Border to build shelters in emergency though this was promised by PDP in its CMP with Congress and Panthers Party in 2002," he said.

He said the CMP is also silent on the promise of delimitation of Assembly constituencies in the state.
