New Delhi: Four days after being miraculously found alive in Siachen, Indian Army's brave soldier Lance Naik Hanamanthappa Koppad attained martyrdom on Thursday. The Lance Naik breathed his last around 11:45 AM.
Koppad was found from under 35 feet of ice at an avalanche-hit army post in the Siachen glacier in Jammu and Kashmir - six days after he and nine other soldiers were buried.

The 10 soldiers were buried under a mass of snow after their post was hit by an avalanche last Wednesday at the altitude of 19,000 feet close to the Line of Control (LoC) with Pakistan in Jammu and Kashmir.
Millions of people all over the country were praying for Hanumanthappa's health but destiny had something else in store for him. Sadly, India lost him with 9 other brave soldiers.
