Allahabad: Congress President Sonia Gandhi on Monday addressed a gathering in UP's Allahabad at the inauguration ceremony of Former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi’s birth centenary exhibition.

While delivering her speech at the event, Sonia Gandhi paused and covered her head as soon as the 'azaan' (Islamic call for prayer) was heard in the background.

Reportedly, Sonia Gandhi did this (paused speech, covered her head) to show respect to 'azaan'. She only continued after the ‘azaan’ ended.

The photo of Sonia Gandhi showing her with covered head has gone viral on social media.
