Shocking! Pakistan blacks out Rajnath Singh's tough message on terror at SAARC meet

Islamabad: In a shocking move, Pakistan on Thursday blacked out Indian Home Minister Rajnath Singh's speech at the SAARC Home Ministers' Conference in Islamabad.

ANI news agency reported that no media was allowed to cover Rajnath Singh's speech at the SAARC meet.

This came shortly after Rajnath Singh skipped the lunch at the SAARC conference. Interestingly, Pakistan's Home Minister Chaudhary Nisar, who was the host, also did not attend the lunch.

Meanwhile, in his speech, Rajnath Singh talked tough and cautioned against classifying terrorism as “good terrorism” or “bad terrorism”.

“There is no good or bad terrorism. Terrorism is terrorism,” the Indian Home Minister told delegates at the meet in the Pakistani capital.

In his address, Rajnath Singh took a swipe at the host nation Pakistan for describing slain Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist Burhan Wani as a martyr and said, “There should be no glorification of terrorists as martyrs.”

He further called for strong action against those who support terrorism or its cause.

“There should be strongest of action not only against terrorists but also against organisations, individuals and nations who support terror,” Rajnath Singh said, without naming anyone.

But it's anyone's guess that the Indian Home Minister was hinting at Pakistan, Hafiz Saeed and his outfit Jamaat-ud-Dawah, which is linked to the terrorist group Lashkar-e-Toiba.

Rajnath stressed that action and not just condemnation would help tackle the menace.

“Mere condemnation of terrorism is not enough,” he stated.

Meanwhile, ANI reported that Rajnath Singh's press interaction at the Delhi airport scheduled for today has also been cancelled.
