Etah: BJP MP Sakshi Maharaj on Tuesday slammed Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav for not visiting family of 17 people killed in Saturday's mishap in Etah and demanded compensation of Rs 10 lakh each for them.
"Financial assistance of Rs 3 lakh each to the kin of those killed in the accident and Rs 1 lakh each to the injured was insufficient," the BJP leader said.
He said Rs 10 lakh each should be given to the family members of victims.
On allegations of External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj's help to Lalit Modi, he said it was done on "humanitarian grounds" and unnecessary controversy should not be created.
The BJP MP said that Modi government would rule the country for next 20-25 years and construction of Lord Ram temple would be completed by 2019.
