Ranchi: The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has decided to work in the field of water conservation and cleanliness drive in the country.
The decision came on the valedictory day of the three-day All India Executive Council of the RSS at Samlong near Ranchi on Sunday.
Speaking to the media, RSSSarkaryawah Bhaiyya Ji Joshi said the Central Government was giving stress on cleanliness drive, and the RSS thought that it was the duty of the society to support it.
Answering questions, he said changes in the Education Policy should be made to bring focus on Indian values.
He said a Ram Temple at Ayodhya should be constructed, and the Central Government would take all necessary steps in that direction.
"Though the matter is in the Supreme Court, and the BJP does not have majority in the Rajya Sabha, the RSS thinks that the Central Government should take initiative to build a Ram Temple in Ayodhya," he added.
During its three-day meet, the RSS had earlier brought a resolution and expressed its concerns over imbalance in growth of population between the people belonging to the religions of Indian origin and those of religions of foreign origin.
The resolution has sought adoption of a single population policy for all religious groups in India. After a study by the government on number of people that could be supported by the nation available resources in next 35-40 years.
The RSS also demanded the creation of a 'National Population Register' by which the illegal migrants could be identified and their illegally acquired citizen's rights should be taken away.
The resolution also called for the implementation of recommendations of the Supreme Court-appointed Abhimanyu Hazarika Commission reports on the 'crisis illegal migrations to India', which was published and submitted on October 4.
On the opening day of the executive council, the RSS had said it was not opposed to reservation as envisaged in the Constitution of India, and its only opposition was to reservation on religious ground.
