New Delhi: Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi on Saturday sent a get well soon message to SP supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav, but the party had no clue where the Gandhi scion is following his break from the budget session of parliament.

A message from the party on Saturday said the Congress vice president "expressed concern over" Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Mulayam Singh`s illness and hospitalisation and also wished him a speedy recovery.

Another message from him condoled the death of Kerala assembly Speaker G Karthikeyan.

Party officials, however, said they had no information on his whereabouts and they just received the message.

"We have no intimation when he is to join back or where he is. We got the message and we sent it forward," a senior Congress functionary told IANS.

In a recent interview, party leader Digvijaya Singh had dismissed speculation that Rahul Gandhi could "run away" from politics and maintained that he will return to lead the party.

The Congress has said Rahul Gandhi has gone on a break for introspection so that he can chart the way forward for the party.
