New Delhi: President Pranab Mukherjee will confer honorary rank of General of the Indian Army upon Nepalese Army Chief General Rajendra Chettri here today.
General Chettri, who arrived here yesterday, called on Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar and Home Minister Rajnath Singh yesterday besides meeting his Indian counterpart General Dalbir Singh.
General Chhetri`s six-day visit to India is his first visit abroad after assuming the top post in September last year. General Chhetri`s visit comes ahead of the proposed visit of Nepalese Prime Minister K P Oli to India later this month.
