Ahmedabad: Taking forward his mission to not keep governance Delhi-centric, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend the All-India Directors General/ Inspectors General of Police Conference being held this year at a village near the India-Pakistan border in the Great Rann of Kutch in Gujarat.

The conference is being held at Dhordo village, around 80 kilometres from district headquarters Bhuj.

Apart from all the DGPs and IGs of all the states and union territories, heads of National Investigation Agency, Central Bureau of Investigation, IB, narcotics department and various police training academies will take part in the conference organised by Central Intelligence Bureau.

Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh and his deputy Union Minister of State for Home Haribhai Parthibhai Chaudhary will also attend the event that will be held from DEC 18-20.

Among issues related to internal security, the top police officers of the country will discuss ways to thwart attempts by Islamic State to spread its base in the country.

The 50th edition of t is being hosted at Dhordo village, organised near the India-Pakistan border from December 18-20, where other issues related to internal security would also come up for discussion.

Last year, the conference was held at Guwahati (Assam) in November.
