Pathankot airbase attackers gorged on Pakistani-made chicken nehari, lahori chole before assault?

Delhi: Investigators have stumbled upon empty food packets with Pakistan label at the international border, as per a media report.

The packets were found near a BSF outpost in Simbal and was later handed over to the National Investigation Agency (NIA), as per India Today.

Made-in-Karachi food packets include dishes like shahi paneer, chicken neharidal fry and lahori chole, as per the report.

Also forty milk packets with a manufacture date of November 16, 2015 and expiry date of February 8, 2016 were found under thick foliage.

All of it have now been sent to Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL).

Meanwhile, Pakistan today said a team of special investigators probing the terror attack on the Pathankot airbase will visit India soon to collect evidence.

"The special investigation team will shortly visit India to collect evidence on the airbase attack," Pakistan Foreign Office Spokesperson Nafees Zakaria said in Islamabad, as per PTI.

He, however did not give any date for the visit.

The special investigation team, that included experts from civilian and military intelligence agencies, was set up by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif last month to probe the January 2 attack.

Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan had said last week that India had already agreed to the visit of Pakistani experts to collect evidence.

Pakistan has already lodged an FIR into the Pathankot attack which has paved the way for the prosecution of anyone who is found guilty of involvement in the attack.

The FIR by the Counter-Terrorism Department of Punjab police, however, did not name Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) chief Masood Azhar, whom India has accused of having masterminded the deadly assault.
