New Delhi: Rushing to the defence of Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday said that there was no concrete evidence of corruption against the former.

"As far as Raje is concerned, she has never denied her relationship with Lalit Modi and other related activities. But as far as investment in his son Dushyant Singh`s company are concerned, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley stated that this was a pure business transaction," BJP spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi told ANI.

"And there is no concrete evidence on the basis of which corruption can be defined," he added.

Rajasthan BJP president Ashok Parnami had yesterday said that Raje`s shares in the Niyant Heritage Hotels were birthday gifts from her son and daughter-in-law.

The Congress party has been mounting pressure on the BJP to sack Raje from her post.

Raje, meanwhile has arrived in New Delhi to attend the NITI Aayog meet.
